SIX APPEAL
International A Cappella Champs in Concert at Firehouse March 2
PLEASANTON, Calif. — The world-class professional a cappella group Six Appeal comes to the Firehouse Arts Center Theater in Pleasanton for one concert only, on Saturday, March 2, at 8:00 p.m. Despite their cheeky group name, the six male vocalists all have some very serious musical skills: in 2018 the group beat out 181 top-tier a cappella groups to win the International A Cappella Championship in Moscow. Also known for their impeccable comedic timing, Six Appeal wraps everything up with the energy and vitality of a rock band.
With not an instrument in sight, except of course their six sets of vocal chords, the band navigates multiple genres of music, rolling through decades of hits from classic oldies to current chart toppers, plus a few original tunes. The members are formally trained in singing, pedagogy, composition, and have over 100 combined years of musical education and experience, bringing a diverse repertoire of styles, musical and otherwise, to the stage.
In addition to their 2018 International title, SA is featured on numerous “Best of” A Cappella albums, sang the National Anthem at the 2013 Sugar Bowl, and has garnered awards for Best Original Song and Best Original Arrangement among many other accolades. When not head-lining, Six Appeal performs with Andy Grammar, Louie Anderson, Jay Leno, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, and Thundercat.
Show time: Saturday, March 2, at 8:00 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $27 – $37. Tickets online at www.firehousearts.org, by calling 925-931-4848, and in person at the Box Office, 4444 Railroad Avenue, in downtown Pleasanton. Box Office hours are Wednesday – Friday 12:00 noon-6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and two hours prior to performances if not sold out.
