Fresh Works Juniors

Exhibition Dates: August 16 – October 11, 2025

Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony:  Saturday, August 16, 2025, 1 – 3 PM

First of its kind at the Harrington Gallery, Fresh Works Juniors is an exhibition for youth and teens entering K -12 grades and recent high school graduates (class of 2025) from all over the Bay Area. Named after the gallery’s popular annual Fresh Works exhibition which is a juried show for emerging and established adult
artists, the Juniors edition celebrates the vast talent of young artists throughout the greater Bay Area. 

A diverse presentation of all mediums and subject matters including paintings to ceramics, approximately 90 student works will be on display at the gallery until Saturday, October 11, 2025. A number of awards will be presented at the opening reception on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 1 – 3pm including a Gary and Nancy Harrington Award (top prize), two Merit Awards, and a number of Honorable Mentions.

JUDGE:
Dave Wagner’s educational path led him to study at Cal Poly, The California College of the Arts, and the New York Academy of Art. He has been interested in art his entire life and now teaches at Las Positas College in Livermore, California. When Wagner is not teaching or in the studio, he is generally exploring the outdoors of Northern California.

ABOUT THE HARRINGTON GALLERY:
The Harrington Gallery features five group exhibitions per year, highlighting works by both established and emerging regional artists in a variety of styles, genres, and themes. A spacious yet intimate exhibition space comprised of two rooms, the gallery contains architectural structures and remnants of the original Firehouse #1 Engine Bay. Within the Firehouse Arts Center, there are two additional exhibition spaces within the foyer and second floor dedicated to the solo exhibitions of Bay Area artists and Pleasanton Art League members.
