Concessionaire Interest Form

The City of Pleasanton is seeking interest from qualified vendors to provide food and beverage services at the Firehouse Arts Center. This opportunity offers a unique role in enhancing the patron experience by operating concession services during the Firehouse’s Presenting Series performances, with the potential for additional service during venue rentals and youth productions.

The concessionaire will be responsible for providing a variety of refreshments, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and prepackaged snacks during pre-show and intermission periods. This vendor will work in coordination with City staff to ensure smooth operations, high-quality customer service, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Interested applicants should complete the interest form by April 7th.

Owned and operated by the City of Pleasanton, the Firehouse Arts Center is a premier cultural arts venue featuring a 221-seat black box theater, art gallery, and multipurpose studio spaces. Home to a diverse range of performing arts productions, concerts, and special events, the Firehouse attracts thousands of patrons each season. Key Responsibilities of the Concessionaire

  • Operate concessions during scheduled performances, rentals, and youth shows (on average 2-4 shows per month)
  • Provide beverage service, including wine, beer, and soft drinks
  • Offer a selection of prepackaged snacks
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • Process cash and card payments
  • Maintain the concession area in a clean and professional manner

Interested applicants must meet the City’s insurance and licensing requirements, including:

  • General Liability Insurance: Minimum of $2,000,000
  • Liquor Liability Insurance: Minimum of $2,000,000 (if serving alcohol)
  • Automobile Liability Insurance: Minimum of $300,000 per occurrence
  • Workers’ Compensation Insurance (if applicable)
