But when Cady and her friends devise a “Revenge Party” to end Regina’s reign\, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a queen bee without getting stung. \nAdapted from Fey’s hit 2004 film\, Mean Girls was nominated for a staggering 12 Tony Awards.  This show took Broadway by storm and has since joined the musical in-crowd. \nMean Girls: High School Edition is rated PG-13 and contains themes and language that may be more mature than some of our other PYTC productions. The show explores topics commonly faced by teenagers\, including bullying\, peer pressure\, social dynamics\, body image\, and relationships. The fest has gone national in 2026\, with runs in the East Coast in March\, Midwest in May\, Texas in October\, and SoCal in November. This August\, the fest is back for its annual Bay Area edition featuring a sharp mix of voices\, styles\, and stories\, all rooted in the wit and cultural mashup that make South Asian comedy one of the most exciting corners of standup today. \n \n*Please note\, this event is independently organized and not sponsored by the City of Pleasanton.
